Very clear palm prints could be taken in the following way:

Getting a clear impression of the palms is a tricky affair, especially in some cases of bony hands, with a hollow center. [No problem about fleshy hands]

How to get over it? It is simple.

Use eye liner or semi-solid lipstick.

However, a unique technique is to be adopted to lift a clear impression of both the palms.

First, the relative or the friend of the client should wipe both the hands of the client, [or anyone who wishes to have a palm impression of his/her own, to be filed away and shown to palmists whenever needed], clean with a piece of cloth.

Then he/she should apply very thin film of oil on the palm of the client and then as a next step, he / she should scoop out small measures of the eye liner on the index finger and spread it on the palm of the client evenly [avoiding excess or superficial coating]. This procedure should be repeated till the entire area of the palm and the all the fingers are smeared with a thin film of the eye liner.

The side of the palm (especially the mercury mount), the rascette of the palm as also the web region of the thumb should be smeared.

Next, he/she should hold a white paper of medium thickness [one used for taking photocopies will do] in his/her both the hands upright. And then press the paper very gently on the client’s palm [first, say, the left palm] with the help of his/her own index & middle fingers of both the hands so that all the 4 fingers work in tandem. Now each millimeter of the palm area should be pressed in gradual motion, starting from the bracelets upto the tip of all the fingers, including the side of the palm on the mercury mount and the web region of the thumb.

When this procedure is over, the paper stuck on the palm should be peeled off gently.

This paper should be kept away for drying for a few minutes.

The same procedure should be repeated for the other palm [right palm].

Preservation of the impression is essential as the eye liner on the paper might get disturbed or smudgy when in physical contact.

To avoid such an eventuality, it’s imperative that a bright and clear photocopy of the impression be taken [a few minutes after the impression was taken] and kept as a file copy to be shown to any palmist. Now we have a original print and a photocopy of the same.

You can dispose off the original print if you wish.

Washing the eyeliner off the palms is an easier proposition. Just put a few drops of any oil [gingelly oil, refined oil etc.] on both the palms, then rub both the palms together, vigorously and a final mopping of the oil & eyeliner using a piece of cloth should not be a problem.

These very unique and unheard-of procedures that the author has adopted all these years have stood him in good stead, as all the clear impressions in the tutorial notes stand testimony to them.

Eyeliner – the cheapest material, a few drops of any oil [like coconut oil or refined oil etc.]  –the “easily-accessible” liquid, combine together to constitute what is termed the cheapest and the best possible kit available in any household.

Even, a semi-solid lipstick could be used as a smear on the palm.

Photographs, photocopies of both the palms could also be sent along with eye-liner-photocopied impression.
